College football has become one of the most storied and treasured past times in America. In many homes, time slows down or grinds to a halt on Saturdays in the fall. Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and family get-togethers are planned around big games. There are favorite teams, hated rivals, tailgating, school traditions, mascots, cheerleaders and of course, the game. Players go from fresh faced boys to grown men before your very eyes and coaching staffs seem to change as fast as the seasons in the midwest. This blog is the grandeur of college football through the eyes of a coaching family. My husband, the coach, is in his 6th season as an NCAA Div. II assistant coach. Together with our 2 daughters, we figure out how to navigate the game, marriage, raising kids and living the fast paced, frenzied life of a college football family.
